To place a break line element

Select the Place Break tool.
Enter a data point at the location where the line should begin.
Enter a data point at the location where the line should end.
Reset to end the line placement, and to activate the break symbol placement.
Enter a data point on the line just drawn to establish the location of the break symbol.
Reset to complete the operation.

Note: When changing the Annotation Scale setting in the Model Properties dialog, changes can be applied to previously placed annotations. Simply answer Yes to the prompt, and break symbols are changed accordingly.
